Delete your Roleplayer account

You can delete your Roleplayer account and its data at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us. You do not need to reinstall the app to ask.

Request deletion by email

Send us an email from the address your Roleplayer account signs in with, and we will delete the account and its data for you.

Please include your Roleplayer handle if you know it. We only act on requests that come from the account's own sign-in address, so that nobody can delete someone else's world.

Delete it yourself in the app

Open Roleplayer and go to Settings → Delete my account. The app shows you exactly what will be destroyed before you confirm.

What happens next

Deleting is not instant, on purpose. Your account enters a 30 day grace period. Nothing is lost during it, and signing back in and choosing Keep my account cancels the deletion completely. After 30 days the erasure runs and cannot be undone.

What is deleted

  • Every world you own, including everything inside it. Members lose access to it.
  • Your characters, with their sheets, notes, relations and images.
  • Roleplays you host.
  • Your memberships, invitations and join requests.
  • Images, voice messages and other media you stored.
  • Your plan and subscription state on our side, and your notification registrations.
  • Your handle, which is released and can then be claimed by anyone else.
  • Your sign-in identity. You will no longer be able to sign in at all.
  • The copy held on your own device, once the 30 days are up and the app is opened again.

What is kept, and why

  • Messages you already sent into other people's Roleplays stay where they are, under the name they carried at the time. They are a copy other participants already received, and they are that person's data too. Email works the same way: what you sent belongs to the inbox that received it.
  • Safety reports you filed, or that name you, are kept along with their evidence. We keep these to establish, exercise and defend legal claims, and to protect other people using Roleplayer.

A note about subscriptions

If you subscribed to Roleplayer Premium through Google Play, deleting your account does not cancel that subscription. Cancel it in Google Play subscriptions.
